This week from Stuart Glennie
We would just like to thank everyone who has made our time at Ellon so enjoyable. It has been very difficult to make the decision to move on at this stage, but we felt we had to do what was best for Ellon.
We made the decision, along with the Ellon Committee, to make Hermes our last game, as we genuinely believe that the team will now have a better chance of pushing on and getting success between now and the end of the season.
The players are a very professional bunch of lads, but it would be very difficult for us to carry on doing our job, in our normal manner, between now and the end of the season.
The club is in great shape both on and off the park and we will really miss working with a great group of players and also a very determined and hard working committee.
We can assure any player or manger considering a move to Ellon that it is a great club, who are determined to achieve success. We strongly believe that this is an exciting time to be at Ellon United.
We wish everyone at Ellon the very best for the remainder of the season and for the forthcoming years, and we thank you for giving us the opportunity.
Finally, to the players, we really hope you get what we feel you deserve between now and the end of the season. We have enjoyed working with you all. Please keep the team spirit going.
We are really disappointed we could not have ended on a winning note on Saturday.
Catch up with you all soon
Best Wishes
Stuart Glennie

P.S We will certainly miss the Ronnie Wells and Billy Gordon double act on a Saturday!! Its a marriage that will never last!!

The position at Deveronvale was a role we could not turn down.
We always believed we would be in the managers manager at Ellon for a longer period of time. However when the opportunity with the Vale became available we felt we really had to go for it.
Greg Carroll has done a tremnedous job at Deveronvale in the 10 years that he has been there, and who's to say the next manager would not be there for another 10 years?? These opportunities do not come along all that often, especially the biggest club in the highland league.
We hope everyone connected with Ellon understands our reasons for moving on. In timescales we have only been at Ellon for a short period of time, but things have certainly moved on, both on and off the park.
We would like to take credit for the position we are in now, but that is down to the players. Much can be said about what is the 'secret ingredient', but simply for us it is about getting good 'quality' players together. There is an excellent group of players at Ellon with a great team spirit.
The committee at Ellon have been excellent to us. They have a genuine desire and passion to bring success to Ellon. We would have loved to have been part of that success in the longterm, but now there is a great opportunity for someone to come in and keep this excellent club progressing to the next level.
As it stands right now we are looking forward to getting the players to training on Wednesday and preparing for another important match away to Hermes on Saturday
We can assure everyone that we will continue to give our upmost to the club as long as we are here.
Thanks for your support
